pReview conducts evaluations at various stages of product development. This particular evaluation was based on screenshots from the buchkatalog.de website's ordering process. The evaluation included the analysis, appraisal, assessment and evaluation of visual and structural aspects of the information presented on the site. The material that formed the basis for this project was examined with regard to structure, layout/formal design, navigation, encoding (colour code, form code), consistency, and language/text, while, at the same time, consideration was paid to each of these aspect's understandability, clarity, conformance to expectations and appropriateness for the task. The strengths and weaknesses of the respective designs were illustrated and evaluated using both text and images, and were subsequently used as a basis for optimisation.
